Education Jobs Funds

The Education Jobs Fund (Ed Jobs) program is a new Federal program that provides $10 billion in assistance to States to save or create education jobs for the 2010-2011 school year. Jobs funded under this program include those that provide educational and related services for early childhood, elementary, and secondary education.

Education Job Funds were also awarded directly to the Governor’s Office of each state. These funds are treated by the state in a similar manner with regards to federal reporting and grant management requirements. As required by the Federal Department of Education, Education Jobs funds are only to be distributed to local education associations, a process that is managed by the State Department of Education. The Education Jobs fund information on this site reflects management data that is provided by the Executive Budget Office and the State Department of Education. Please see the Education Department’s ARRA website for a more detailed analysis of fund allocation.
